Why such interest in things Scandinavian?
In our segment the answer is simple. Scandinavia has succeeded in areas where others are still striving: Animal health, free from epidemics which endanger food safety and reduce profits.
At Svanova, our roots are deep in the research that created Scandinavia’s reputation as a leader in veterinary diagnostics. Today’s free-standing and expanding Svanova was previously the Swedish Veterinary Institute’s development and production entity for diagnostic tests.
Svanova Biotech AB was established in the beginning of 2001. The company has been founded upon the activities, which have been ongoing since 1988 within the National Veterinary Institute. So, while we have only existed as a private enterprise for a few years, our virology research unit and our diagnostic kits are well established.
SVANOVIR® products has since 1999 been manufactured in an ISO 9001 certified facility. In February 2003 Svanova Biotech AB received its new revised certificate covering all activities at Svanova Biotech AB, such as research, development, manufacturing, marketing and sales, are covered by this Quality management system.
